100W Short Arc Mercury UV Replacement Lamp
Incure 100W Short Arc Mercury UV Replacement Lamp (Part No. 282008) is the factory-installed lamp for the S20™ — install it and your cure schedule stays valid. Spectral distribution, arc geometry, and 100W power level match exactly what the system was characterised against. Where the 200W UVA-optimised lamp concentrates output in the 315–400 nm band, this lamp maintains the complete mercury line spectrum: 254 nm, 313 nm, 365 nm, and 405 nm. Replacing with any other lamp type changes the irradiance profile and requires full process re-qualification. This lamp does not.
Full Broadband Spectrum — Cures Formulations the 200W UVA Lamp Cannot
Standard mercury arc output covers four major emission lines: 254 nm (UVC), 313 nm (UVB), 365 nm (UVA), and 405 nm (visible). UV adhesive formulations with Norrish Type I photoinitiators (benzoin ethers, acetophenones) require activation at 254 nm and 313 nm — wavelengths the UVA-optimised 200W lamp suppresses in favour of higher 365–400 nm output. This lamp maintains every emission line the S20™ was characterised against, keeping the full chemistry compatibility of the system intact.
No Cure Schedule Re-Qualification After Replacement
This lamp is a like-for-like replacement for the factory-installed lamp. Spectral distribution, arc geometry, and 100W power level are matched to the S20™ controller and lightguide port — installing this lamp keeps irradiance at the cure point within the validated window without recalibration. Substituting with a different lamp type or wattage changes the irradiance profile and invalidates the existing cure schedule, requiring full re-qualification. Always replace with the same lamp the system shipped with.
Arc Geometry Matched to the S20™ Port — Full Intensity at the Cure Point
The short electrode gap concentrates the luminous arc into a small point source. A smaller arc source couples more efficiently into the fixed-diameter lightguide port aperture — more of the generated UV enters the guide and reaches the cure point. Longer arc or diffuse-source lamps waste a larger fraction of output outside the aperture. This lamp's arc geometry is specified to match the S20™ port optics; no reflector adjustment is required after installation.

Rated lamp life of ~1,000 hours is under standard operating conditions. Actual life varies with duty cycle, thermal cycling frequency, and operating environment. Replace proactively on a scheduled maintenance interval rather than waiting for lamp failure — output degrades progressively with use before total lamp failure occurs. Do not touch the quartz envelope with bare hands; skin oils create hot spots that shorten lamp life. Allow the lamp to cool for a minimum of 30 minutes after shutoff before handling. Dispose of spent mercury-containing lamps in accordance with local hazardous waste regulations.
