High Vacuum Silicone Grease — Pyra-Sil™

Premium thixotropic silicone grease engineered for O-ring lubrication, vacuum flange sealing, and chemical process equipment. Low vapor pressure and non-toxic formulation rated from −45°C to 204°C.

Industrial vacuum chamber with sealed flanges and fittings lubricated with Pyra-Sil™ 802 high vacuum silicone grease
Vacuum Chamber Sealing
Lubricate conflat and ISO flanges, O-ring grooves, and feedthrough seals. Low vapor pressure ensures clean vacuum conditions without pressure rise from outgassing.
Laboratory glassware ground glass joints sealed with Pyra-Sil™ 802 high vacuum silicone grease for airtight connections
Laboratory Glassware Joints
Seal ground glass joints, stopcocks, and vacuum desiccators. Translucent and non-toxic — compatible with analytical chemistry and research applications.
Semiconductor cleanroom wafer processing equipment with vacuum seals lubricated using Pyra-Sil™ 802 silicone grease
Semiconductor Process Equipment
Maintain vacuum integrity on wafer handling chambers, load lock O-rings, and gate valve seats in CVD, PVD, and etch tools where contamination is critical.
Industrial chemical processing pressure vessels with sealed fittings using Pyra-Sil™ 802 high vacuum silicone grease
Chemical Processing Vessels
Lubricate O-rings on reactor vessels, autoclave seals, and chemical pump flanges. Excellent resistance to oxidation, moisture, and chemical attack.
Industrial pressure vessel assembly with O-ring and flange seals maintained with Pyra-Sil™ 802 silicone vacuum grease
Industrial Pressure Vessels
Protect elastomeric seals on pressure vessels, hydraulic systems, and valve stems from compression set, tearing, and thermal degradation across a broad operating range.
Closed industrial process piping system with valve and fitting seals using Pyra-Sil™ 802 high vacuum silicone grease
Closed Process Systems
Maintain leak-free performance on valve packing, rotary shaft seals, and pipe fitting O-rings in closed-loop process lines operating under vacuum or positive pressure.
  • Incure Pyra-Sil™ 802 high vacuum silicone grease is used to lubricate O-rings, gaskets, and vacuum flanges, and to seal glass stopcocks, valves, and fittings in vacuum systems, chemical processing equipment, and laboratory apparatus. Its low vapor pressure makes it suitable for deep vacuum applications where outgassing must be minimised.

  • Incure Pyra-Sil™ 802 has a service temperature range of −45°C to 204°C (−49°F to 399°F). It maintains consistent lubrication and sealing performance across this range, including cryogenic applications and moderate-high temperature process equipment.

  • Yes. Incure Pyra-Sil™ 802 is non-toxic and chemically inert, making it suitable for laboratory glassware joints, vacuum desiccators, and analytical instrument fittings. It is translucent and odourless. For food contact or pharmaceutical applications, confirm compliance with applicable regulatory standards before use.

  • In vacuum systems, lubricants and sealants must not outgas — releasing vapour molecules raises chamber pressure and contaminates the process. Incure Pyra-Sil™ 802 is formulated with exceptionally low vapor pressure, ensuring it remains stable under high and ultra-high vacuum conditions without contributing to chamber contamination or pressure rise.

  • Yes. Incure Pyra-Sil™ 802 is compatible with standard elastomeric O-rings and gasket materials including Viton, EPDM, neoprene, and silicone rubber. It lubricates sealing surfaces to prevent compression set, tearing during assembly, and sticking at temperature extremes, extending O-ring service life in vacuum and pressure systems.

  • Apply Incure Pyra-Sil™ 802 by spreading a thin, uniform film on the sealing surface, O-ring, flange face, or valve seat using a clean finger, brush, or spatula. Excess grease should be wiped away to avoid contaminating the vacuum space. No curing or heat activation is required — the grease performs immediately upon application.
